Our son MATEI PETRU Radu is born today, the 6th of march 2009!!!
After almost 20 hours of labor starting from yesterday the 5th of march, our son MATEI PETRU Radu is born today the 6th of march 2009 at 2.04AM at Dr. Bohler Maternity in Luxembourg. He is 100% healthy, strong, big and beautiful of course ? With his 4,560Kg and 52 centimeters, Matei Petru is definitely today’s maternity champion ? My gorgeous wife is doing very well also and of course recovering after an exhausting time. Silvia and I are happy….insane happy and proud already of our son. Difficult to put these feelings in words. Welcome to this wonderful world Matei!!
A huge huge « Villmols Merci » (=thank you in Luxembourgish) to Dr. Stieber, Carol, Wilfried, Anne, Isabelle, Tiffanie and Monique who helped Matei to come in this world.

UEFA EURO 2008 Volunteer
Yesss, I'm one of the selected VOLUNTEERS for the EURO 2008 football championship! It's so exciting beeing part of this extraordinary event. It's just great and I'm sooo happy to be part of it. I'm practically commuting between Luxembourg and Basel every 2 days..so I'm always on the way but working as a Volunteer in Basel is reaaaaallly coool. Check photos in the travel section. UEFA Cup Final - Manchester 2008
My sweet wife was also luky this year and she won two tickets at UEFA's lottery for the final in Manchester. This happened back in february, and here we are in May going to this nice game. Right from Athens after Yiorgos wedding we flew to London and than the train to Manchester. A full of adventures trip! Not that we saw much of Manchester after all but a huge number of scotish people and a curious UEFA Cup winner: Zennit St Petersburg. Some incidents in the city center after the game took a bit of that shinny day: 100% organisers fault definitely but well...this is "part of the game". Photos comming soon.

Yiorgos wedding in Greece (10th of May)
Incredible but Yiorgos wedding in Argos(Greece) had...650 guests! 65 tables of 10 people each! Very nice wedding and a truly delightful experience. Photos on the way...

Really Useful Conference in Berlin: European Sharepoint Conference. Over 2500 specialists from all over Europe gathered in Berlin. This was the most exciting and useful Microsoft professional gathering. Microsoft has never known before a more enthousiastic feedbak from worldwide community than this one for the Sharepoint product line. Paris - Champions League Final 2006
Another dream came true: Champions League Final! and what a final...not just two clubs but two histories and two football Emperors coliding in one superbe, absolutely full stadium. Spaniards wrote it in just 5 words: "Barcelona, mas que un club". This final...was indeed "mas que une sueño" and nowhere else but "dans le ville lumière"! Merci Fernand! This trip was the cherry on top of the cake...on top of 10 days which were definitely the craziest days in my sports travel experience up to now. I lived quite a few genuine unforgetable moments! Eindhoven - Uefa Cup Final 2006
Firts major final ever which I attended. Wonderful athmosphere, incredible party, enthusiasm for both teams, a marvelous and extremely well conceived stadium, perfect spring weather...a wonderful day of football joy. I'd definitely love to be part of every final from now on! When your eyes see a day like this..it's impossible not to fall in love with football and it's beautiful servants! Go to my Travel section.

F1 Nürburgring
It's now the thrid time I experienced Formula 1 Live and every time I just feel shivers deep in my bones. Everybody should experience Formula 1 live at least one time in a life time.There is "just another movie" compared to what one can experience in front of the TV. And I feel a deep respect for those 22 guys running in 600kg rockets! You can simply not imagine what breaking from 320km/h to 60km/h in 100m can be! And driving for one hour and a half constantly in the back of another F1 at 300km/h..it's an extraterestrial limit of precisioun, nerves and tenacity. Those guys are not humans. They are indeed TITANS! Efharisto Yiorgo for taking me to this extraterestrial experience! Check out the photos in the "Parties" section.

Catholic Easter 2006 - Roma & Vaticano
Another dream came true: Easter in Vatican! Roma e grandiosa! Vatican is breathtaking! Moments and sights that no words can describe. People say that when somebody passes away..he/she reviews his/her whole life in just moments. Go and breath the air in San Pietro..you will feel two milleniums of humanity through your senses! It's one of the places in this world which shows how tiny and huge at the same time a human being can be! Many of what we saw (Alex & I) is thanks to Flavio! Thank you again "mio caro panzone"! :-)

Torino 2006 - XX Winter Olympic Games
Finally a dream came true. Uscatu & Lupu went to Olympics. Even if we missed the qualifications for Curling this time, we'll try it again for Vancouver 2010 :-), we went in Torino (amazing nice city) to feel the olypmic spirit and to support the sweedish ice hockey team. 30's in Paris & Opéra Garnier
Sensational weekend in Paris for my 30s anniversary! Million of thanks to Daniela&Damien (& 2 Didi finally:-)) for their huge hospitality and "art culinaire"! Thanks to my lovely friends from Paris! It was amazingly nice to come all together again. Lupu, we didn't forget you of course! :-). Mi Amo is the most beautiful and lovely star in the universe! Along with her, I can shout it loud in the air...this was the most romantic weekend in my life! Couldn't be better for my 30's anniversary. Te ubesc AMO! Let's ride the life from now on! :-) click
Scala di Milano
I had the great chance to find the precious tickets (must say that these tickets sold out in 23 minutes precisely) for a Premiere in world wide famous Scala di Milano! La Bayadère...a true example of "ballet total" by Roberto Bolle in this mythical theater hall. Lovely decoration, architecture and joyful respect of culture. One of the rare places in this world where the artistic performances touch the perfection!
Svenska Olympic Champion
Unfortunately for my lovely finnish friends the sound of silence took the place of the old song against sweeds on Helsinki's beautiful streets: "Den glider in, den glider in, vi ska kämpen igen, vi ska ge allt det vi har, vi ska ta guld igen". But Andreas must be truly proud of this. Isn't it my beloved sweed?:-)

Starting with 1st of october Uscatu.net has a new look! After the 3rd successful Romanian Week early this summer, I decided to change the desing of my web site so that I can show somehow the charming sights of my native country. Any remarks are welcome, of course.
